Achievement Awards

When warranted, lawyers may be recognized by their peers for outstanding achievement. This might be the result of a particular case, year of work, or even recognition of lifetime achievement.

Types of awards include:

  • Timer Moses Award presented by the MTACDL to lawyers who best honor the legacy of Timer Moses, one of the preeminent criminal defense lawyers in Montana.
  • John Adams Award, presented by the Federal Defenders of Montana (FDOM) and is "named to honor John Adams and all those who risk wealth and fame in order to stand with the least favored, most vulnerable people the world has to offer."
  • Rookie Award, presented to an outstanding laywer just beginning her or his career.
